Yeah, yeah, I know it's been freaking forever since I last updated this thing, so I guess it's about time I did that. Life is just so hectic, and there's so little time and of course a lack of motivation. You'll see why if you read on...


HOMG IT'S DONE! well, for the summer that is. I don't know why they call it a vacation, because it seems to me that all they do is give us additional work to do over a much shorter time. Seriously, I swear the summer is getting shorter every year. It is actually; it used to be like 9 weeks of freedom, and now it's six, and in that six we have to WORK. I have to do crazy experiments on crickets this summer, which I should totally be doing now, but we'll come to just why I'm not doing them right now in a few moments. Suffice to say, summer this year is going to be very not-so-summery. I even have to spend two weeks in Cambridge being lectured every day. Huzzah. </sarcasm>

BUT (and there is a but) there is something to look forward to this summer:


Wahey! I can't even begin to explain my feelings. I'm so in love that for most of the day I can do nothing. Of course it's not aided by the heat and my incredibly short attention span, but I really am in love. I know it sounds like I'm gloating, and I sound stupid because we're so very young, but for us that's not a problem. We're happy about how we are, where we are, and don't intend to let anything get in the way of that. Tomorrow is our 19 month anniversary (which I had totally forgotten about until like 3 seconds ago), so I'm very very happy about that. But back to the topic before, the thing I have to look forward to this summer is Venice! Myself and my lady are going to be spending three days in Venice, alone together, and that is currently the only thing that is getting me through all this crap. It's going to be amazing. I don't want to sound smug, but to be perfectly frank, I am.


Haha, reading over my previous plans about cameras, I'm quite unsurprised to see how things have progressed. I did not, as it transpires, go for the D3, because I didn't want to have the 5k camera and only enough money left to buy 1 lens. Instead, I just today ordered my D300. I know that sounds stupid when the D700 was just announced, but I figure that I can keep the D300 until I need to replace it, and then sell it again, because I bought it at a bargain price. I should receive the camera and the three lenses I bought for it (Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor, Sigma 50-500mm f/4-6.3 EX DG HSM APO RF Telephoto Zoom, and Nikon Nikkor18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom) by Friday next week, because my grandmother is bringing them over from the states for me. Huzzah. I'm so very excited, this week is going to be very very slow.


WEll, what can I say? The school year is out. My lizards are all doing splendiferously. OOH, I FORGOT! My computer is toast. I need to restart it and fix whatever is wrong with it. I think I shall end up doing that tomorrow. We'll see. I don't know how exactly I intend to go about fixing it, but we shall see. I got the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) repeatedly, and can no longer start it up. I found details on what to do, I just have to see if I can find the windows xp disc. Until I have that all sorted, I shall have to be doing everything from this shitty mac. urgh. Hopefully I'll have it sorted soon, because this computer drives me mad. It's so... bubbly. Annoys the crap out of me. Oh well though. As soon as I have my camera, all those worries will vanish. hehe. huzzah.


Well, I guess I was right when I said I wouldn't be able to make it on here very often. My sister having a wii assists in distracting me, but I will do what I can to be on here more often. Especially when that camera comes. I shall keep you all up to speed on everything, and of course upload lots and lots of pictures.
