Description
This is probably one of Madagascar's most beautiful dragonfly species. Around a lagoon an hour or so from camp, these guys dart back and forth. This shot was particularly hard to get though, because despite the dragonfly returning to the stick every few minutes, the area was covered in "itchyplant" - Madagascar's compensation for the absence of venemous species. Tough to endure, but quite worth it.
This shot is from the month I spent in Madagascar in 2009 doing research with Frontier.
Prints of all of my work are available over on my blog, along with more recent developments in my photography.
